Utility Restoration Services began in early 2009 to address the needs of electric utilities throughout the coastal areas of Texas. We have found that UV rays, road salts and irrigation have caused similar problems all over the country. URS now serves electric utilities all across the United States – traveling to where you are to bring you the same high-quality service we have been known for in Texas.
History of Utility Restoration Services
Previous to opening URS in 2009, owner George Combs and the other principals reconditioned equipment in the agriculture industry for 30 years. We apply these same principles to the reconditioning of pad mounts and light poles, however we’re much more stringent in the safety area. The company started with one truck and has grown to 15 crews spread all over the state of Texas, with others starting nationwide.
